
Boxleitner is employed with the Borough of Millersville, where he serves as the Street Department Superintendent and additionally serves as the Borough’s Emergency Management Coordinator. Boxleitner serves as the co-chairman of the Volunteer and Logistics Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative. Boxleitner resides in Millersville.
DiGuiseppe is the Assistant to the Vice President for Alumni & Community Relations at Millersville University, where he has been employed since 1991. Some of his current job responsibilities include serving as the University’s liaison with the Borough Council, the Millersville Business Association (where he serves as Secretary) and the Millersville 2020 initiative. He also serves as chairman of the Millersville Community Parade (since 1996) and is a member of the Millersville Historical Society. His past community service includes serving as a long-time member of the Millersville Area Jaycees, Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity Foundation, Millersville University Alumni Association, various other civic, religious, community and university organizations. DiGuiseppe resides in Millersville.
Gardner is a member of the Millersville Borough Council and actively participates on several committees, including the Borough’s Parks Committee and is a representative to the Land Use Advisory Board and the Lancaster Inter-Municipal Committee. Gardner is the Treasurer of the Millersville 250 Executive Committee.
Phil Gerber, a Millersville Borough resident, is an MU alumnus, a Vietnam War Veteran and a retired registered nurse. Phil has been active in Millersville Borough government and in community affairs. He is currently president of the Millersville Area Historical Society and chairman of the Millersville Borough Historic Commission, as well as a current Millersville Borough Councilman. He is also the co-chairman of the Historical and Publications Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative.
Mary Ann Gerber, a Millersville Borough resident, is an attorney, who is currently the Lancaster County Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans’ Court. Mary Ann, a former English teacher, has been active in Millersville Borough government, MU alumni affairs and with various professional, civic and community groups.
Glass is a retired professor emeritus from Millersville University and active community volunteer. Glass is also a Millersville University alumnus. Some of her current volunteer affiliations include the Millersville Community Parade, the Millersville University Alumni Association and Millersville’s Meals on Wheels. She is the secretary of the Millersville 250 Executive Committee. Glass resides in Millersville
Janet Kacskos, APR, is the communications director for Millersville University. She has been with the University since March 2005. Kacskos has over 20 years of public relations experience and has served as the University liaison to the Millersville Borough and Millersville Business Association. She is also a co-chair of the Communications and Marketing Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative.
Phil has served on Millersville Borough Council since 2006. Phil works as an Engineering Technical Support Supervisor for Harford Systems Inc. in Aberdeen, MD which is a manufacturer of products for the bio-medical research industry. He studied mechanical engineering at Gannon University in Erie, PA. Phil has been a Pennsylvania resident for 50 years and a Millersville resident for over 15 years. He has been married to Carol for 33 years, and they have a 19-year-old daughter who attends Millersville University. Phil is currently Chairman of Millersville Borough Council Finance Committee, a member of Millersville Vision 2020: working with Millersville Borough Business Association, Millersville Ministerium, Penn Manor School District, and Millersville University on ways to improve the Borough, a member of The Emergency Services Task Force: working with four area fire companies to develop plans for future fire safety in the community, Secretary of Millersville Borough’s Historic Society and is co-chair of the Volunteers/Logistics Committee with the Millersville 250th Anniversary initiative. Lastowski resides in Millersville.
Patterson is a registered pharmacist and operations manager of Wiley’s Pharmacy in Millersville. He is also the president of the Millersville Business Association. Patterson is a co-chair of the Fundraising and Merchandising Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative.
Pollock is the assistant superintendent for the Penn Manor School District. She is also the co-chair of the Events Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative. Pollock resides in Millersville.
Reichler has been associated with Millersville University for the past 10 years and most recently as Director of Special Events for the university. She has been president of the United Auxiliaries to Lancaster General Hospital since 2007 and has been involved in community volunteerism with the Fulton Opera House Foundation, Wheatland Foundation, The Junior League of Lancaster and The Lancaster General Health Foundation Boards. She serves as the co-chair of the Events Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative. Reichler resides in Lancaster.
Scharnberger is a professor emeritus at Millersville University, where he taught for 30 years, the last 9 as chairman of the Earth Sciences Department. He and his wife, Betti Bob, have lived in Millersville since 1973. He is a volunteer in services to Millersville University, vice-president of the Millersville Historical Society, a Director of the north Museum in Lancaster, a Director of United Campus Ministry at Millersville University and a member of the program committee of the Heritage and Horizons Education Program for senior citizens. He serves as the co-chair of the Historical and Publications Committee of the Millersville 250 Executive Committee.
Trout is the Owner of Oak Leaf Manor Assisted Living Communities, located in Landisville and Millersville. She is active within the community, including serving as the president of the Rotary Club of Lancaster South (Hempfield), the Millersville Area Meals on Wheels and is the co-chair of the Fundraising and Merchandising Committee of the Millersville 250 initiative. Trout resides in Manor Township.
Wiker is the deputy chief of the Millersville Fire Company. This fire company is celebrating their 100th anniversary in 2011 and Dave is chairing the Lancaster County’s Fireman’s Parade in June 2011. Dave graduated from Penn Manor High School and resides in Manor Township.
Arnold is the Millersville Borough Manager, the chief administrative officer, Secretary and Treasurer, responsible for the overall management of the Borough. He is an ex-officio member of the Millersville 250 Executive Committee.
Join us for the final special event for the Millersville 250th Anniversary which includes tours, entertainment (including the Penn Manor Brass Quintet), balloon sculptures, a photo booth and a special cake and ice cream social. Tours begin at 2:00 p.m. (with limited number of people per time period) with a closing presentation at 3:00 p.m.—then comes the unique cake and the unveiling of the Millersville 250 Turkey Hill new ice cream flavor—the Swan Swirl (it contains chocolate!).
